Corrosion of copper A/C pipe.

Hello,We are haveing a problem with corrosion of A/C pipe that is burried in the ground and enclosed in plastic sheaths. Many are failing in under 3 years. These are 5/16 liquid lines.The older ones, not in plastic, are functioning better. The new ones have the plastic sheaths full of water when uncovered.Any ideas?Thank you.John Pepper
