I have a built in dishwasher that started having a burning smell and then just quit. Any suggestions to what it may be and how to fix it.

need to know brand name & model. recomend you turn off power to it if you can and call appliance service company.there are several models that have factory recalls for possible fire hazards.beter yet try mfg site.
