I just moved into a place w/ a tub that someone unwisely painted. What can I do to remove the paint and refinish the tub? What are the costs and time/ work involved?

To get a lasting job, you need to have it done by a professional refinisher. It will cost about $600 but that is still cheaper than replacing the tub. It could cost more since they will have to remove the bad paint job. : I just moved into a place w/ a tub that someone unwisely painted. What can I do to remove the paint and refinish the tub?
