Musty smell in crawl space

After discovering standing water in our crawl space, we installed a sump pump. The pump has solved the water problem, but the damp, musty smell will not go away – espicially when the central air is running. The smell comes up vents and permeates throughour the house. Any suggestions as to how to solve this problem. Thanks Susan Saylor
