You cannot use PVC inside a house, you cannot use PVC on hot water, and if you do either of the above it is going to break and cause damage, and he, or his insurance company, will sue you for performing plumbing without a license. If you use plastic it must be at least CPVC and it must be installed properly with the special cements and transition connectors. You will still be held responsible if anything breaks and causes damage, which is why contractors carry insurance.: i have been asked to convert the house i am renting to pvc. i am not a plumber. i need to know an average cost per linear foot to charge, just labor. i will stop at all junctions that go into walls to fixtures. all work will be in a crawlspace as well. if i could get a rough idea of the cost, i would greatly appreciate it. if you need more info. or have any comments, please feel free to email me. thank you
