toilet does not flush properly…usually takes 3 or 4 flushes to clear the water..

Dale,Usually, when the toilet has a slow flush with paper, there is something in the trap of the toilet. Sometimes there is a main line blockage, however, if that were so, other plumbing fixtures would be affected also. Removal of the toilet and looking in both ends of the trap will help to find those errant make-up pencils, bottles of perfume and small toys that find their way into toilets.Terry
