I have a ranch style house with a sizeable unused attic space. I need a fan installed in my bathroom and do not want to install a wall fan. The electrican I contacted to install the ceiling fan does not want to cut through the roof to vent the fan. Instead, he simply wants to vent it into the attic space. It is only myself and my wife living in the house. Is this an advisable way to vent the ceiling fan? Thanks so much for your response.

The fan needs to be vented to the eaves, not into the attic space, per most codes.: I have a ranch style house with a sizeable unused attic : space.
