I have a 10 year olkd water heater in the basement i am finishing. Is there anyway to tell if it is nearing its end and therfore needing replacement

Tom, Removal, inspection and replacement of the anode rod will help determine life left on the tank. If the anode rod has dissipated, assume that the tank itself has damage. If the anode rod is in good shape, the tank may have more life in it.Regards, Terry
