My water heater seems to blow the pilot light out when it goes out. I guess it must be going out with a puff that takes the pilot out with it. In any case, twice a day or more, the pilot goes out and the water is cold when we discover it in the morning.Any suggestions? I tried taking compressed air and blowing out any dust/lint in the boiler pan and pilot light areas.Kirby

Kirby: The Poof that follows the heating cycle of your water heater, is caused by to lean a fuel mixture to the main burner. Try closing the air shutter at the venturi of the main burner, this should help. If your gas valve has a pilot adjustment, turn it up a hair and see what happens. Lots of luck….Bud..
