Go ahead and install them after the well tank. I would recommend putting the filters inside your house if you can. If not consider how difficult they will be to service. Also consider if it may be too cold for them outside. They will be much simpler to service inside rather than in a confined well house. Use two 3/4″ IPS 10” filter sumps with a 30-micron as the pre filter and a 10-micron as post. Check them every month until you can forecast the replacement. Don’t feel like checking them that often? Use two pressure gauges one on the inlet and one on the outlet. If the pressure differential between the gauges exceeds 10 PSI then it’s time to replace the elements.
