Hot Water Heater Leak at outlet pipe connection

My hot water heater which is about 5.5 years old started to leak out the point where the outlet pipe connects to the top of the heater. My basement floor has a settlement crack right below the front third of the heater tank. My concern is that the tank has shifted with the drop in the basement floor and caused a crack in the outlet connection. How difficult is this to fix and should the tank be repositioned away from this significant crack by a plumber ?
