Plumbers wound up tunneling 15 to repair leak and are leaving the hole open for about a week in case it leaks again. Is this common practice??? Please respond asap. Thamks

Todd..I would not pay for this plumbing repair until it was determined that the leak is definitly fixed and back filled.
