Help! When we run hot water in the kitchen, after just a few seconds, the pressure drops to half, and there is such a vibrating, shaking, ringing, clanging commotion throughout the house, youd think an explosion was imminent. Weve tried turning on the faucet very slowly, very quickly, cold water first, etc., to no avail. Doesnt happen anywhere else in the house (yet!). Were not handy, just wannabes.

Not knowing the brand, etc etc it is very difficult to determine what the cause is. I am going to guess and say that the rubber washer is loose. Turn off the water, take off the handle, take off the stem and see if that is the cause. When shopping for a new washer spend the extra 5 cents and get a top quality one.
