I have had the same problem for 7 years. I even bought a new toilet 3 years ago in hopes to eliminate the problem.MAybe someone can help.The base of the toilet is constantly wet unless it sits unused for a few days. then it stays dry.
Ginny….. Sounds to me that your in need of a wax seal under your toilet bowl. This is not a major job, but it does require a little muscle to horse the toilet around. Your best bet would be to get who ever installed the toilet to come back, and have another go. Youll need two closet bolts, a wax seal and some grout to reset the toilet. Lotsa Luck…….Bud

Not only does the wax prevent water from seeping out from under the bowl, it prevents sewer gases from entering the home. Below is a good toilet repair link. Enjoy.Regards, Terry Love
