I have a 60 gallon natural gas water heater aprox 8-9 yrs old and never been serviced, when I fill the bath tub two floors up, the first few gallons of water appears dirty. I dont notice dirty water anywhere else in the house. Could this be from sediment in the tank and be noticeable only in the tub? Any ideas would be appreciated.

The drain on the lower end of the tank should have hose threads for that purpose. I hope this helps Regards, Terry Love
