sump odor in ac vents

When the ac runs, it is pulling the odor of the sump into our home through the vents. Apart from installing a sump pump, how can we control the odor?

Most “sumps” are properly vented aand in a gas and water tight container unless it is strictly clear water.

Is it possible to relocate your vent intake? Like installing a Swiss type vent connection?

Is there a condensate drain for the AC system that is attached to the sump system? Does it have a trap on it or is it just piped in straight? Shouldn’t need to relocate the intake if every thing is installed properly. Let me know.
