I know hardly anything about plumbing, but when I was trying to realign the drain for my new bathtub, I came across some problems. First of all after digging down to the rubber seal, I cant get it off, and have just been ripping it off with some rubber pliers, Is there an easier way? Next, the new rubber seal I purchsed is shaped where the relief P-valve line is in the way , and I think Im going to have to cut some of it out, just to get the boot on. If you have any info you can send me on the plumbing of bathtubs and their drains, I would appreciate it. I cant afford a plumber, so I try to do everything myself. Thanks!
