OK, I goofed: tightened the nuts a bit too much, and now I have a couple of hairline cracks originating from the bolt holes in my toilet tank. Do I have to buy a new tank? (can you generally get a tank without the rest of the toilet??). Or is it worth trying some kind of sealant to repair the cracks?

We have all done it at some time, given the bolts one tweak too much. Dont feel bad. ( well, too bad ) Regards, Terry Love
