this is 2nd post-think the first one got lost..when we get semi-heavy rain,the city storm sewer backs into the sanitary sewer-also city.when this happens the sewer main under my house is back pressured or is full of water. this problem is obvious.. when this occurs the tub, sink, etc will drain about normal. the PROBLEM is that the toilet will not flush until the house main is empty. got city involved and put additional vent at ground level in rear of house-still does not flush. this problem does not appear to happen to neighbors in the same conditions. ready to sue the city–any suggestions about what the problem could be?
