Copper vs CPVC?

I am having a fairly expensive home built. One of the features that the builder is offering is Copper pipes for hot and cold water supply lines. He just asked me if he could change the pipes to CPVC. I get no cost advantage either way. He tells me that CPVC is actually better than copper and I should go that way. I am uncomftable going with CPVC because he wants to install it under the slab (leaks? costly to repair). Where the copper would be installed in the walls and in the ceiling.Question: What are the pros and cons of Copper vs CPVC?Note: I have hard water here, but this area has no history of dammaging copper pipes.
