I have a toilet that seems to be working OK except that the water slowly drains from the bowl. I can’t hear any leaking and the floor and ceiling below are dry. Any guesses as to what is causing this and how to fix it?

It sounds as if the water may be siphoning out of the bowl. the most likely reasons would be a clogged vent line (or not vent if you have always had this problem), or a partial stoppage in the drain line.
