Is there a method to allow me to repair a broken sink drain pipe without breaking the integrity of the concrete floor into which descends? The drain services my kitchen sink and dishwasher and is broken right at the concrete floor in the basement. The pipe is schedule 40 PVC. It doesnt leak very much but since I am preparing to sell I need to fix this problem. My thought is to cut the pipe above the floor, attach a smaller diameter pipe and sink it into the larger diameter pipe in the floor, then seal the area between the large diameter pipe and the small diameter pipe with some sort of epoxy.
