Could be you have a faulty tap washer in the hot tap. Jams in place, after the first shower it had a chance to release a bit more and let extra hot water through.
Or are you saying that with the hot tap on only, you get a luke warm shower.
What type of hot water system do you have ?? gas instantaneous ??
