Do you have a shower head with an integral stop (shut off) acting as a mixing valve?
Do you have check valves on BOTH the hot and cold water lines for your washing machine?
Did your plumber know to install a heat sink on the Cold water supply to your heater?
Did you replace both elememts if applicable? and the list goes on
