The water seems to be moving too slowly in a 2-pipe system. Check the circulator action when the boiler is running by placing a thermometer (the sensing end covered by a thick rag or insulation) on the outlet of the boiler and then placing the thermometer a few feet from the boiler on the return pipe. The temperature should not be more than 30F degrees different.
