After it was turned back on the hot water heater seemed to be producing hot water. Well, a day after we got back, were not getting any hot water. : : The electric hot water heater is hooked up to a Paragon electric load controller. I shut the circuit breaker opened up the load controller and saw it has a 9v lithium battery. Weve been in this house for 5 years and never changed that battery. What purpose does that battery serve.
