: I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out why the water in the bowl does not go down but the tank empties and the bowl does the swirling thing but does not give the suction noise showing that all is being disposed of. Its almost like I am not getting enough swirl for it to go down. Any suggestions, I have already snaked, plunged, and replaced some things. : I NEED HELP!!!!Using a wire or bent clothes hanger clean the perforations on the underside of the bowl flushing rim. Insert the wire into the perforations and rotate it to loosen built-up sediment. Check for a blocked siphon jet in the bowl passageway and unplug it in a similar way using a as above. Be careful not to scratch the bowl surface when performing this operation. Also check to see if the water in the flush tank is filling up to the waterline setting. If not, adjust the float rod using the adjusting screw if available or by bending the rod slightly. Bend the rod only if it is of round brass construction. The float rods in most modern water closets are constructed from plastic and may not be bent. In extreme cases, a blocked drain, building sewer or septic tank may cause this problem. A mild deliming solution poured down the overflow tube in the tank may help too. Please abserve all safety precautions when usinf cleaning solutions.Good luck
