Peter,
It sure sounds like the anode rod is hitting something,
because it is definitely a metal on metal sound, but
it doesn’t happen when the hot water is used, or
when hot water is mixed with cold. It only happens
when cold water is used.
Most drip tubes are plastic now, aren’t they?
