I live on the ground floor of a multi-unit condominium, eight units. In the back hallway outside of my unit there is one main kitchen stack that is connected to a cleanout for my kitchen and the line continues out into the courtyard to a catch basin and sewer lines to the street. All eight units tie into the main stack.
It has been recommended by several plumbers to rod the main kitchen stack outside of my unit twice annually and clean the catch basin and rod the sewer line once per year.
New management I believe wants to change that to save money. Not sure yet what he’s up to, but it’s difficult to get him to follow the procedure described. I’m concerned.
Any recommendations?
