I have an older home built in the late 40’s which I am slowly working on restoring. I noticed when I cut out the 1.5″ galvanized drain line from a tub I removed, that both ends connecting into the cast iron stack (the upper segemnt completing the revent line and the lower connection draining the tub) were so loose in the hub that i can slide the galvanized pipe in and out of the old lead seals. What is the best way to fix this problem? Is there a neoprene donut that can be used in lieu of the old oakum and lead seal?
Thanks!
