I want a new fixture in my bathtub–combo bath/shower. Old one is almost 60, Royal Cleveland brand–can’t find parts. I want a very good fixture–not fancy–good–all brass.
        Should I
        (1) purchase the fixture first and then call a plumber to install or
        (2) should I call the plumber first and buy the fixture from him?
Would you recommend I call one of the bigger plumbing companies for install or an independant?
This is beyond my DYI capabilities.
        Thanks!

Check out the Plumbing Co. that do the work and have him bring over some pic. of fix. and get a price, that way you have a good warnity on work and fix. If you buy it then it is your problem to fix it if something goes wrong.
