I live in a small house with one bathroom. There is a smell of sewage that comes and goes, and I know it is not from pipes being left since there is only one bathroom and the sink, toilet, and shower are used regularly. Is there a way to find out if the vent is blocked or cracked, and how can I clean it if it is blocked? Thanks for any help. Aimee

One of your traps could be siphoning or there might be a broken pipe in wall, The way you sound it could be comming from the vent on the roof when wind blows a certain way, if so then the one thing you can do is put a house trap in your outside sewer line, some time if you extend vent on roof that helps, try that first, let me know.
