General Super 90 is a decent machine for the money.
Electric eel is a great sectional machine (11/4 sections 8′ long) the 7/8 cables are just about useless if not torque properly instant kink.
There is no one machine that does all.
For starters The General is cheap (about $1,200) and is OK up to 6″ with roots and can be used by one person with a 200 foot maximum cable length.
The reason I like General is service is good when there is a problem, parts are readily available and it is a decent quality machine and you can use 1/2, 5/8 or 3/4″ cable with two different drums.
The draw back with drum machines is if a cable does break your out of business until you repair the broken section.
With a sectional in case of a break you only lose that one section either 6, 8 or 10 ft piece depending on type you buy (electric ell)
For small electric Jetters I like the Mustang 1304 but it requires greasing every few hours of operation.
The Rigid electric KHJ1250 or 1300 PSI are great machines for the money and my KHJ 1,250 paid for itself in ONE DAY.
The problem with all electric machines is the AMP draw around 17 amps and that can be a problem in older homes.
Think about the Rigid Gas operated 2,200 PSI machine EASY one man carry and operation.
For video inspection and locators UI would only buy MicroEngineering (Now MyTanya) as The Developer and owner is an Engineer not some company who buys a product and stamps their name on it YOUR buying direct with MicroEngineering.
Also The Video Camera has an option of a self leveling head and you can get it in color and TWO heads for the price some others charge for only one head.
The mini head is great for smaller lines and passing through traps.
About snaking from a roof I try not to as some stacks are vented by a vent stack and not a continuation of the soil stack thus snaking is useless.
For roof drain stoppages on high rise buildings almost any snake 1/2″ and above will work.
