toilet water fill

        When the toilet (located on 2nd floor)tank finishes filling water, it makes a loud thumping noise. I have another toilet located on the 1st floor, and it doesn’t do that at all. Water simply shut off when the tank is filled. What causes the thumping noise? Does it have anything to do with its location — ie, on 2nd floor? Is it fixable?

          Do you have close coupled tank and bowl or flushometers?
