i need to “patch” some leaks in my cinder block crawl. my question is, does this have to be done from the outside? (i.e. digging up the ground down to the leaks to patch)
or is there some kind of “injection” mortar that can be used from inside to fill the existing holes. i am not opposed to doing ditch digging work…but if it will work as well it just seems so much easier.

If you don’t have to do a lot of patching, a product called Fast Plug should do an excellent job.

If you patch the inside the water on the outside will still get into the block. Once it is inside the blocks it will flow until it finds some outlet, not necessarily the place you patched. Patching the outside to keep the water out of the blocks is the only way to prevent leaks.
