I can’t move the tree and I am tired of digging up the sewer line every 6 months to remove the roots which clog my system. Can I put a chemical into the toilet to kill the roots? If so, what is availible (on a budget)? Thank you.
Anyone who digs up a sewer more than once without installing a ground level cleanout, must enjoy suffering. There is nothing that will keep the roots out. Root destroyers MAY help, but probably not. And don’t worry about taking out the tree. The roots will still give you problems for 20 years if you were to chop it down tomorrow.
