Let me start off by saying I am plumber. I am just looking for some new learn some thing new. The shop I work for dose a great deal of gas piping. From pipe 1″ and up to about 4″. What are you guys using to pump up your piping? I been use a small Air compressor i used it in the past and it work great for Mercury test but we no longer can use them so we now use a low press gauge. I burn out like to Compressor in a years time. Should I get a biger compressor or hand pump it or what an frinend told me about dry nitrogen any of you tryed this? Well any if would be grest Thnak you

As it seems every Country does things a little differently I better leave the answer to this one for someone who is in your area.
In any case if you contact your local inspector he/she should be able to set you right on the method required to pass a pressure test in your area.
