IS THERE ANY WAY TO CHANGE THE IGINITER SYSTEM ON MY PEERLESS GAS FIRED/HRYDRONICS SYSTEM TO A PILOT LIGHT SYSTEM? THE TWICE A YEAR REPLACEMENT COST ($+40.) IS KILLING ME.
Most likely you could change the system, might be spendy. The best solution would be to find out why your ignitor is failing. The biggest reason for failure is having the ignitor touched by bare hands, even the small amount of oil left behind will cause premature failure. Also look to see if the ignitor is directly in the main flame. Hope this helps. TK
