Can anyone suggest a name brand of neutral cure silicone sealant for my bathtub drain installation. I still can’t find any for “below the waterline” or “submerged” aplications. Will any sealant do the job? Is the “don’t use in submerged applications” disclaimer just a way for the mfg to cover its butt?

Use Plumbers putty on it. Take strainer out put putty around flange and scew it back in.
