I can’t unscrew (open) the valve on two radiators in a new (old) home; so there is no hot water going to them. Must I just tryopen the valves, or is there a secret I don’t know about?

Loosen the nut the stem goes through and put a 10″ pipe wrench on stem are a strap wrench on handle and turn counter clock wise. They get frzen in there some times, if you get it turned turn off heat and take bonnet off and clean stem and threads and grease it with Plumbers grease.
