I’m attempting to replace the diverter stem on my 3 handle shower and got as far as removing the sleve that screws in to the pipe, but for some reason I cannot remove the rest of the stem! I’m not aware of anything else that would be holding it in place and have tried to extract it with pliers, but to no avail. Is there something I’m missing here? I’ve successfully replaced both the hot and cold stems without issue. Please help if you have any idea what this could be!

sometimes you might be better off in the long run to replace the entire valve with a new Delta or Moen. well there are a lot of good faucets. I would like to help you with your question, but sometimes you are better just changeing the faucet.
