        I’m getting ready to dig and replace my water line from the street to my house. (Fairfield County,CT border with Westchester County, NY)

        What is the accepted way to connect a new 1″ copper line to the curb box shut off? Fittings, etc.

          There is only one acceptable way. You screw the meter tailpiece coupling into a female adapter soldered to the end of the copper pipe.
