Help!I have no hot water. Went downstairs to check the pilot light and the copper pipe that runs along side of the hot water heater was pouring out as if someone had turned a faucet on full blast. I decided to turn off the water running to the heater. So what now? Anyone have any suggestions? I would really appreciate any advise. Do I have to buy a new one? My current one is only five years old. Thanks in advance.
Dont panic- your hot water system needs a new temperature pressure relief valve. There are several types so make sure you get the right one for your hot water system, available at plumbing shops or better yet- get your friendly local plumber to install one for you- you wont need a new hot water system.
