Hello! We have a Central Brass Bathtub faicet and we need to know how to remove the stems to change the washers/or O Rings. We have the Knobs off as well as the outer tube and flange, both of which screw in. Now, how do we remove the stem? There is a 1 nut close against the wall tile, but I think it is part of the entire faucet body. We soaked that nut w/penetrant, but it seems to be part of the body. Thanks for any help!

: You will probably need a set of cow bells(theyre like sockets but there is no bottom so the stem can stick through)Then turn the water off…of course…turn the stem on, and remove. You will need a seat wrench to remove the seat. If the seat still wont come out, use an easy out. Im assuming a two or three handle valve… I dont think they make a single handle valve. Good luck finding the replacement parts…Central brass is tough to find around me. Ive always had to special order that stuff! good luck : We have a Central Brass Bathtub faicet and we need to know how to remove the stems to change the washers/or O Rings.
