Replacing existing vanity pipes: We are having MAJOR difficulty removing the under sink drain pipe that connects to the pipe in the wall. The nut that holds them together just wont budge. We have tried warming the pipe & nut, WD40 and lots of throwing our weight around and cursing. The plumber cant get here for days (thus our do-it-yourself attempt) and we need a bathroon sink! I would be very grateful for any ideas.
You might try cutting the nut part of the way through with a hack saw and then breaking the nut with a screw driver. Dont ruin the threads that the nut screws on to.
