I placed a light fixture in my hallway. Now it will only come on with the furnace circuit breaker. Am I playing with the furnace ignition?

Is the furnace oil or gas? Either way you should not be interfering with the ignition. The furnace should always be on its own circuit by code.: I placed a light fixture in my hallway. Now it will only come on with the furnace circuit breaker. Am I playing with the furnace ignition?
