We have a private drilled well 500 feet deep. Our system consists of a Goulds 1hp submersible pump, a Well-X-Trol wx-250 tank and a Franklin Electric Pumptec. Our problem is that for the last 11 months (since we built our house until last week) we could run our sprinkler for about two and a half hours before *running dry*. In just a one or two day period our water supply dropped to almost a third. Today we could run the sprinkler about 45 minutes before shutting down. What do you think the problem is?Thanks! Geoff

Thanks for the info.Someone said I could get an idea of my wells static level by dropping an ice cube down the well, and using a stop watch count the seconds until it splashes, and estimating the depth at 10 feet per second. Then someone else said the estimate is best if you use 25 ft per second.Which do you think makes for a more acurate estimate? Thanks again,Geoff
