I put a few drops of food coloring into my toilet tank and seconds later the bowl water was colored-what do I do now?

Remove the flapper take it with you to the local hardware store, replace old with a new one. Add food colouring again, if new flapper didnt work you will need to replace the whole flush valve…..Lou
