        MY HOT WATER GETS RUSTY, I LIVE RIGHT BY A FIRE HYDRANT, AND IT SEEMS WORSE RIGHT AFTER THEY FLUSH IT. I GET RUST AND WHITE PARTICLES OUT OF THE BOTTOM EACH MONTH.

I GET RUST AND WHITE PARTICLES OUT OF THE BOTTOM EACH MONTH.sounds like your water service company has bad pipes. if you can get to your main line easily you could install a filter-of course you would have to change filter cartridge occasionly.
