I just built a 2200 sq. ft house and am wondering why it takes 1 1/2 to 3 minutes for the water to be hot in the upstairs master and main bath?? Is this normal time?? Also, the plumber ran the upstair water/drain pipes in the return air stud which is in the kitchen and its terribly loud when you run water or its draining. Is this common practice?? If not, do I have any recourse???

A plumber with some foresight to this problem would have installed a recirculation loop to maintain hot water at the tap. I dont know the codes in your area, but most plumbers I work with would never consider such a thing as to run pipes in the returns. Recourse….good luck. E-mail me directly for more info on recirculation loop…. Pipewerks
